” I tried acupuncture for the first time just a couple of months ago, and I’m pleased to report that it has been a very positive experience. Iook forward to each treatment with Susan. Not only is she a highly skilled practitioner, she is also a positive, uplifting person. The Acupuncture & Herbal Solutions office is comfortable and relaxing, and I leave each treatment feeling renewed and refreshed. In just two months, my pain is gone and my sense of wellbeing has improved. In a word, Susan Sandage is wonderful!”

“I am a Presbyterian minister, with a strong interest in different healing modalities. I took a class with the Sisters of Saint Benedict that explored Reiki, the healing touch. This class piqued my interest in acupuncture. After a bit of online research, I decided to try acupuncture with licensed acupuncturist Susan Sandage.
One of the things I appreciate about Susan is that she fully understands both Western and Eastern medicine. As a trained registered nurse, she has a strong professional background in traditional Western medicine. Susan has built on her extensive knowledge by incorporating the best of acupuncture and Eastern medicine to create a healing practice that is most impressive. Additionally, she regularly pursues continuing education in her field.
In the past, I have seen Susan on an as-needed basis. For example, one of my hobbies is classical English-style horse riding, or “dressage”. Once, I took a nasty fall. Although nothing was broken, I did experience severe soreness and swelling which did not go away. After just one treatment with Susan, both the pain and the swelling completely dissipated. I have also recommended Susan to several of my friends, witnessing their own improvement as Susan successfully treated them.
The Acupuncture & Herbal Solutions office is very private. You are treated in a private room in a private setting where, thanks to Susan’s caring manner, you feel safe to ask questions. When I think back to my first acupuncture visit, I remember how I had built up so many worries about what to anticipate. The actual experience was so uneventful, I couldn’t believe it. The needles felt no worse than a fingernail touching my skin. When my first treatment was over, I thought: “This is it?” It wasn’t until I left
the Acupuncture& Herbal Solutions office that I realized:
“Wow! I’m feeling much better.”
Today I make it a habit to schedule a treatment per month to maintain my wellness. Acupuncture helps to keep my energy flow in sync, making me less susceptible to illness and keeping me healthy so that I can fully enjoy my hobbies and my pending retirement from the Navy Chaplain Corps.”

“As a student of massage therapy and an individual interested in the healing arts and sciences, I had heard about Susan Sandage for years via friends and acquaintances. They had shared wonderful testimonies as to how Susan had helped them with various matters from grief to digestive problems to reproductive issues.
When I recently developed an acute medical problem, I decided to go to Susan for help. After just a few weeks in treatment, I can already safely say “This has changed my life.”
Medical problems and needles equal “stress” for most people, but Susan has an amazing ability to make her patients feel completely relaxed. She demonstrates an incredible respect for my innate wisdom about my own body. She is easy to talk to (perhaps because she is such a careful listener), and the consultation before each treatment truly does feel consultative. To me, Susan feels like a knowledgeable and concerned peer instead of a cold and distant “medical expert”. What’s more, Susan is easy going and fun to be around: I joke that it’s worth paying for treatments just to be in her presence!
As a patient and a massage therapy student, I’m learning a lot from Susan’s extensive knowledge of her field, but most importantly, from her bedside manner. I hope that I can make my future clients as comfortable and happy as she makes me!”

“I have fibromyalgia, a debilitating auto-immune disease that presents chronic fatigue symptoms and body-wide pain in joints, muscles, tendons, and other soft tissues. It took years of tests for doctors to diagnose my condition, and when they finally did, they put me on a cocktail of medicines to help manage the pain. Still, I wasn’t managing very well at all. My quality of life was severely comprised; I had to struggle just to meet my most urgent professional obligations.
My sister, who is a massage therapist, recommended that I try acupuncture. Three years ago, I crawled through the door of Acupuncture & Herbal solutions hoping that acupuncture could provide me with some relief. I don’t say this lightly: Susan Sandage saved my life.
Today, thanks to regular treatments in combination with natural Chinese herbs, I’m in control of my fibromyalgia; it doesn’t control me. I no longer take any prescription medications; I function well; and, I’m able to successfully manage my pain.
I joke that I’m a walking billboard for Susan and her practice. I have recommended more than a dozen people to her, all of whom have been very pleased with her work. Susan is amazing. She is a kind practitioner who provides a warm, soothing environment that is a place of respite from the chaotic world in which we live.
I look at where I used to be and how far I’ve come thanks to acupuncture, and I can honestly say that I’d be “a mess” without Susan’s skillful care! These days, I only need treatment once every 4-6 weeks. But I can tell when I’ve waited too long. Last time, I waited 8 weeks and some of my symptoms started to reappear. It’s very clear that acupuncture is helping me successfully manage this aggressive disease.”

“I recently returned to acupuncture after completing my graduate program for veterinary studies. (My first experience with acupuncture was more than 15 years ago when an acupuncturist helped me alleviate health problems that had resulted from the stress of working three different jobs as an undergrad.) While in graduate school, I was so focused on my studies, I wasn’t taking time for myself. Now that I am out of school, I have a little more time (and money) to concentrate on my own well-being. I use a combination of massage, chiropractic and acupuncture treatments as a preventative wellness plan.
A friend recommend licensed acupuncturist Susan Sandage to me. I find Susan to be gentle, compassionate and attentive to how I’m feeling. My treatments have helped to increase my energy level and I have found them useful for eliminating health threats before they escalate. For example, my allergies recently flared up just a few days before one of my regularly scheduled acupuncture appointments. I mentioned my allergies to Susan at the appointment, and she addressed them in her treatment. That evening, I already felt like a different person—my allergy symptoms had subsided.
I believe in the power of acupuncture. In fact, I believe it in so strongly that I studied veterinarian acupuncture for my own practice. Both history and modern science have demonstrated the benefits of acupuncture on small and large animals (horses, in particular). After opting to complete two rotations in the veterinary acupuncture program, I will soon be certified to bring this added health benefit to my four-legged veterinary clients. Meanwhile, I heartily endorse the best acupuncturist around for us two-legged creatures – Susan Sandage!”
